The all new Ford G Series and Falcon XR range have taken the levels of performance, luxury and exceptional fuel efficiency to new heights.

Four years in the making and it has been well worth the wait! Our new exciting line-up is designed to match a Falcon model to every potential Falcon customer. Today we are launching three Falcon sedan families – each with their own distinctive looks. We have an entry-level model, a range of luxury sports models and have retained the iconic range of performance XR series.

Ford Australia’s new boss Bill Osborne said buyers told Ford what they wanted in a new car. “They’ve told us again and again they want everything, they don’t want to compromise,” he said. “They want more performance and improved fuel economy. They want more safety features and they want more user friendly technology, all packaged in a vehicle that visually represents both them and what their car can deliver.”

The new FG Falcon range comprising XT, G6, G6E, G6E Turbo, XR6, XR6 Turbo and XR8 has the right blend of road presence, style, comfort and safety plus a host of new innovative technological features.

All models are up to 12% more fuel efficient and the engines not only offer plenty of choice but all the power you need. It all starts with the 4.0 litre I6 engine which delivers 195kW of power and 391Nm of torque and when teamed with the optional 6-speed automatic transmission, drinks a mere 10.11 litres of fuel per 100km. (270kW/533Nm for the Turbo six and 290kW/520Nm for the 5.4 litre V8).

Or if you want an engine that delivers further fuel cost savings, whilst still providing power, look no further than the optional E-Gas 4.0 litre I6 engine. The environmentally friendly E-Gas powertrain delivers the running cost of a Fiesta or Focus!

All sedans come with four airbags, stability and traction control plus anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution and emergency brake assist making this the safest Falcon ever! Curtain airbags are optional but standard on premium models.

A reverse camera system is standard on the G6E and G6E turbo models and optional on the overt sports range. Reverse sensors are standard on all G Series models and optional on the rest of the range.

Both the G Series and Falcon XR have plenty of space. Designers have moved the A and centre B pillar forward and the rear C pillar backwards to create more interior space and also provide easier access to the car.

You’ll find there’s room enough to seat five adults in genuine luxury. In fact, the Falcon leads its competitors with the most headroom, hip room and shoulder room, in both the front and rear.

The new Human Machine Interface system provides easy access to necessary and relevant information allowing the driver to concentrate on the driving. The Interior Command Control dial makes it simple to navigate through vehicle settings and make adjustments to features such as automatic climate control and audio settings without taking your eyes off the road!
